Make a Wish
Had another great day at Birds in the Barn on Friday with Hels Sheridan. Made a wall hanging - stuck pieces of paper onto the hanging then washed them in a light sand colour paint. Highlighted the edges of the paper with a stabilo pencil (must get one of those). Used a heart stencil and spread it with a mixture of grunge paste and black embossing paste. when dried lightly rubbed with onxyite treasure gold (must get some more of that, too!). Made a rose from the largest tattered florals die (lots of fun making that) and then assembled with artemio leaves, metal corners and leaves, a cog and a cute little bird Hels had made for us from a mould with UTEE, also rubbed with treasure gold. Finished with a stamped message. Love it.

4 canvases
Inspired by a class I was lucky enough to attend by Hels Sheridan. They are four 7x5" canvases which I painted with eco friendly acrylic paint in sand and then scraped Paper Artsy fresco acrylics in Hey Pesto, Guacamole and Smoked Paprika (mixed with a little white) across the canvases. I used Dreamweaver embossing paste mixed with the Guacamole through TCW mini splats mask., adding a little frantage to them. I then stamped various Creative Expression and JFY stamps onto tissue paper and applied these with Mod Podge.
I then decorated one using some metal alphabet cutters that were my Mum's to spell out the word ART. I figured that as I had never used them for baking I could make use of them with my Melt Pot! I poured a mixture of clear, black and gold embossing powder onto my craft sheet and then pressed the letters into the embossing power.
On this one I used a grungeboard label, painted it with black acrylic paint, and then dipped it into the melt pot. I then rubbed a little Treasure Gold into it and fixed it with a couple of brads.

Have been inspired by Karen at Birds in the Barn www.birdsinthebarn using up all the old bits and pieces that have been cluttering up my craft room for years. Made a tag for Christmas and now need to find the time to make some more!!
Cut the tag from Cricut George cartridge - other materials: scraps of paper, old leaves, star, holly leaves cut from Cricut Christmas cartridge, Pamela Woods sentiment, lightly sprayed with copper Mica Mist.

Butterfly card
A quick card I made for a very good friend's birthday - even though summer is at an end I like the spring like colours.
